Seongsu Hand-made Shoe Street – the biggest hand made the street in Seoul and overall in Korea.
What is Seoul Handmade Shoe Street?
Seoul Handmade Shoe Street or also known as Seongsu Handmade Shoe Street (Korean = ???????) is the biggest shoe market in Korea where 70% of the craftsmen are based.
Originally built in 1990s, this street has started gaining popularity among youngsters too after the renovation of it. Located in the Line 2’s Seongsu Station, this is the largest domestic handmade shoe production area in Korea ?

Last week, I had a chance to visit the “Seongsu Hand-made Shoe Street” in #Seoul and I can’t find words who amazing the experience was. Thinking Korea to be so developed, I wasn’t expecting that there would be a very big street.

But when I reached there, I found that there are over 500 small and medium enterprises that are related to the art of shoe making – from lather selling to the making of finished product for one person at a time ?

One of the beautiful spots at the Seoul Handmade Street was finding this Made in Seongsu Sign. This sign gives really a powerful message about the quality of the shoe that are made here.

The famous sign here says: “??? ??? ??? ???” which translates to “Handcrafted footwear made with the true craftsmanship” ????

You can also see a lot of “Wall of Fame” where footprints of the famous people
are pasted onto the wall. These people have visited and made their shoe from this Seongsu Handmade Shoe Street.
