Coronavirus: Must Have Apps For Foreigners When Arriving in Korea

All long-stay Foreigners entering Korea will have to compulsorily install the Ministry of Interior and Health’s “Self-Quarantine Safety Protection App” and adopt instructions for self-quarantined persons including self-diagnosis for a 14-day duration.

If anyone leaves the designated quarantine area without authorization will face a fine as follows under the “Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.”

* Any who who leaves from the quarantine area without permission can either be jailed for up to one year or fined up to 10 million won under the “Infectious Disease Control and Prevention Act.”
